We're recruiting for the new National Workforce Centre for Child Mental Health initiative!

Emerging Minds is currently recruiting for the National Workforce Centre for Child Mental Health. This is an innovative new initiative funded by the Australian Government to specifically support clinical and non-clinical professionals who work with children (aged 0-12 years), with adults who are parents/carers, or with families.

Emerging Minds has partnered with the Australian Institute of Family Studies (AIFS), the Australian National University (ANU), the Parenting Research Centre (PRC) and the Royal Australian College of General Practitioners (RACGP) to deliver a suite of free eLearning courses, practice support tools and information including a national web hub and implementation support. 

Emerging Minds are currently building a team to assist in the establishment and delivery of this beneficial initiative and we are currently recruiting several key roles.

Child Mental Health Workforce Consultants (several postions across SA, Victoria, NSW and QLD)
Project Support Officer (several positions across Victoria, NSW and QLD)
Senior Child Mental Health Workforce Consultant (several positions across SA, Victoria, NSW and QLD)
Workforce Development Manager

Child Mental Health Workforce Consultants (several postions across SA, Victoria, NSW and QLD)

Reporting to the Senior Child Mental Health Workforce Consultant, the Child Mental Health Workforce Consultant will form part of a small team to work at a state and regional level to provide efficient and effective support services for the implementation of the workforce development learning products and resources from the National Workforce Centre for Child Mental Health. The development of high level relationships with Primary Health Care Networks, key stakeholders and organisations engaged in the delivery of services to children (0 to 12 years) and their parents/guardians is a key feature of this role.

Senior Child Mental Health Workforce Consultants

Reporting to the National to Local Manager, the Senior Child Mental Health Workforce Consultant will be part of a team to support the implementation of workforce development learning products and resources from Emerging Minds, the National Workforce Centre for Child Mental Health across the Australian states and territories.  The development of collaborative relationships with Primary Health Care Networks, state based peak bodies, learning organisations and organisations engaged in the delivery of services to children (0 to 12 years) and their parents/guardians is a key feature of this role. Supporting a targeted community response to trauma is an integral element.

Workforce Development Manager

Reporting to the Program Director, the Workforce Development Manager will be responsible for leading a team in the development of innovative information and workforce development resources for clinical and non-clinical professionals. This will include eLearning and training packages to build the capacity of professionals to support the mental health outcomes of children from birth to twelve years.  Working in close collaboration with the Program Director and building relationships with organisational managers, key partners and stakeholders, the role will be accountable for the success and sustainability of the Workforce Development portfolio.
